Alex Powers: painter, workshop teacher, juror, author, award winner and gallery-artist, who attempts to paint the big issues of life.

Alex has worked in his father's coal mine in western Virginia, been a computer programmer at Cape Kennedy, FL, and, for the last 37 years, been a self-employed artist.
