Alex has worked in his father's coal mine in western Virginia, been a computer programmer at Cape Kennedy, FL, and, for the last 37 years, been a self-employed artist.

Alex Powers is represented by 4 galleries and his own studio in Myrtle Beach, SC is open by appointment.

Alex is teaching in New Mexico, Arizona and California in addition to teaching in his hometown, Myrtle Beach, SC.

Instead of so many workshops, many artists only need a couple of critiques a year. Alex offers critiques via JPegs or Slides.
